The Problem
- — Emotion Mapping tracks user journeys minute-by-minute, capturing every micro-emotion from first use to disposal—revealing deep UX insights.
- — When COVID hit in 2020 and home visits became impossible, our entire business model was suddenly in jeopardy.
My Approach
- — I saw an opportunity to solve multiple problems simultaneously: maintain business continuity, eliminate geographic constraints, reduce costs, and improve data quality.
- — I led the team to redesign the research protocol for asynchronous, self-administered completion while preserving methodological rigor.
- — I architected and built the digital platform MVP, iterating rapidly with our researchers as first users.
What I Delivered
- — Respondent App: A mobile web app that guides users through emotion capture with minimal cognitive load (cartoon emotion selector, voice memos, photo capture) with automated e-learning for onboarding.
- — Researcher Dashboard: Data tracking and analysis with custom algorithm generating real-time emotion timelines.
- — Client Portal: An interactive environment enabling demographic filtering, data drill-down, and multimedia exploration.
